Franklin Gothic Spec Book
This book features a brief history, anatomy, modern uses for Franklin Gothic. The task was to feature the font in its purest form with little to no editing to the typeface. On my cover I featured the lowercase "g" because it is one of the unique quirks of the type family.
The Index
This is a simple yet visually interesting TOC. My intention was to make it as easy to understand but not completely boring.
The Timeline
The timeline shows the stages of the font throughout time, it's additions and its changes. I also featured an image of Morris Fuller Benton the creator of Franklin Gothic.
I wanted to feature every variation and weight of the type family. I also chose to have a collection of random letters and symbols to to guide the reader to start looking on the right page.
