Below is a series of gifs created for a mock Adidas campaign. My goal was to predict how advertisements would be done in the future. My prediction is that motion is the future, digital advertisements and posters are going to be way more common. By that I mean posters on screens instead of paper and more billboards like the ones in Times Square. Which brings me to my main inspiration, a recent trip to NYC. I visited Times Square and first went into a Nike store, I found it a bit overwhelming and futuristic. Then I went to an Adidas store and the walls were brick, the posters and ads were different than I've ever seen. It felt, right street level. I wanted to push that feeling forward for a future age. Essentially this is intended to be a juxtaposition to Nike's in your face push to the future and an attempt to reach the grounded common man.
Billboard
Digital billboards already exist. They will definitely get more popular overtime and become the norm. Even though they are most popular in city centers it is only a matter of time before they are everywhere.
Instagram and Reels
The truth is social media is the future of advertising. this can be seen clearly in the modern day. I wanted to ensure that i designed for that format. reel format and Instagram as those are the most popular forms of media for current generations.

Mural
Murals are becoming increasingly more common as well. I would imagine that companies are going to try really hard to take advantage of this. For example, some restaurants already do this outside their businesses but walls in general are essentially free ad space unused by corporations.
Motion Poster
Posters will also become more motion based. In cites and shopping malls screens have replaced where you would expect a poster already. it is only a matter of time until these become widespread.
