nocturna.com
nocturna.com serves a few purposes. First and foremost this is where you can buy merch and donate. You can find events the brand will have a booth setup. Most importantly though, this the main hub where you can learn about bats and how to protect them.
The Magazine
The magazine would be a monthly issue on bat related topics. I chose the first one to be about conservation as it is the most pressing issue that the brand is trying to solve.
Merchandise
A big part of the project was designing merch that would be interesting enough to get people to buy and be excited. The designs take many elements from my brand to show them off in interesting ways.
Sneak Peak Poster
This poster was designed to be separate from the main exhibition to quickly say the brand's purpose as well as lead people down into my main display.
Teaser Motion
This motion was created to be a teaser for the brand before viewing my work in a gallery. I wanted this to have shock factor for the people who have never seen my project before. The concept of loud screaming and a metal song doesn't just encompass the aesthetic but also plays on the fact that bats use echolocation to "see".
The Tri Poster
This poster was intended to be the eye-grabber. I chose to use light as the border around the bat in place of the lines in my visual language as a way to tell viewers to come over and check it out. I also wanted to have an opportunity to do something more than just a simple poster.
Social Campaign
The brand also features a social campaign featuring merch drops, facts about bats, and a way to interact with the community.
The final Exhibition!
All parts of my project came together for a final exhibition. The point of my display was to emulate a booth that you would see at a cons and merch shops at smaller concerts.
